When I hit my API limit on TweetDeck it still allows me to post but I just can't see anything new. I think the reason you're having trouble though has to do with whatever technical difficulties Twitter is having right now. In the past few days, I've had periods where I couldn't get anything and had to use the web interface.

Re: F*CK YOU @TWITTER! Twitter is way over capacity and the techies are scrambling to catch up. I'm not even close to being a Twitter power user and I've been getting serial wierdness with all my Twit-apps, too.

Twitter may be tweaking their API's (just like Google) so that apps using the API break. It's an amateur-hour problem, but the Twitter folks have been completely caught by surprise at their growth.

Will they get their act together? Probably, but expect a lot of broken glass and rubble while they work. This is going to take a while.

Re: F*CK YOU @TWITTER! Since the MSM picked up on Twitter-mania, it's out of control. They're growing out of their shorts once again.

I think we just need to be patient and wait for all the noobs to get bored and go away. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.
